  • April 7 (Mon), 4-7 pm, "CdA Regional Career & Business Expo 2025" at Kootenai Co. Fairgrounds (Jacklin Bldg), 4056 N. Gov't Way, CdA. Meet top employers, discover job openings/internships, & network w/industry leaders. Admission is FREE & open to the public!

  • April 12-13 - FREE COMPOST WEEKEND >

  • April 17-19 (Thurs-Sat), 11 am-5 pm, "Museum of North Idaho Grand Opening Weekend" at MONI, 720 E. Young Ave., CdA. Celebrate the unveiling of the new museum located in the historical JC White House by Tubbs Hill, downtown CdA, with several activities: April 17 (member opening/donor reception), April 18 (grand opening/ribbon cutting), & April 19 (Easter Egg Hunt). FREE & open to all! 

  • April 18 (Fri), 10 am-4 pm, "3B Community Resource Fair" at Benewah County Fair Association, Hwy 5, St. Maries. An inaugural community event, meet local governmental agencies, non-profits & service clubs. Hosted by Benewah Co., Panhandle Health, University Extension Office & Timber Plus, admission is FREE!   • April 19 (Sat), 8:30 & 9 am, "Earth Day Morning Bird Walks", guided by CdA Audubon Society, will explore sights & sounds of birds on Tubbs Hill, downtown CdA. Choose one of (2) times & meet at the bird sign at the east trailhead/SE side of Tubbs Hill (11th Street). Tour will last about 90 minutes, so take binoculars if possible. No pets or children under age 7 please.

  • April 19 (Sat) - EARTH DAY AT CDA LIBRARY >

  • April 26 (Sat), 10 am-2 pm, "Arbor Day at NIC" with FREE seedling giveaway. More info TBA.

  • May 6 (Tues), 7 pm, "Panhandle Symphony Spring Concert" at Lake City HS, 6101 N. Ramsey Rd., CdA. The orchestra, conducted by Tim Sandford, will present classical & contemporary favorites. FREE admission; doors open at 6:30 pm. 

  • May 10 (Sat), 10 am-2 pm, "TAILSPawlooza Pet Fair" at Pointe Pkwy Walmart, 6405 W. Poine Pkwy, Post Falls. A community event benefiting pets who might otherwise go without basic medical care. Includes 1K doggy fun walk/run. Also FREE exams, vaccinations, microchips, nail trims & more.  

  • May 10 (Sat), noon-2:30 pm, "Annual Kite Festival" presented by City of Hayden at Broadmoore Park, 2784 W. Broadmoore Dr., Hayden. Prizes for high flyer, best homemade, best of show & more.   • April 1 (Tues), 11 am-1 pm, "2nd Harvest Mobile Market" at Lake City HS, 6101 N. Ramsey Rd., CdA; Cormana Bldg., 1101 W. Idaho Ave., St. Maries. Drive-thru event for families struggling with food supplies. Fresh & non-perishable food items will be available for up to 250 families. Also: April 16 at Christian Life Fellowship, 1063 C St., Plummer; April 24 at Cormana Bldg., 1101 W. Idaho Ave., St. Maries; May 6 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 15 S.   • April 1 (Tues), 4:30-6:30 pm, "Community Dinner" at Cup of Grace, 31848 N. 4th Ave., Spirit Lake. FREE dinner & all ages are welcome every Tuesday!

  • April 2 (Wed), noon, "LOU - Lunch on Us" in Bayview Community Center, 20298 E. Perimeter Road. Provided by volunteer chefs every Wednesday for community members FREE of charge! All are welcome. Take a dessert to share with others if you can. See poster HERE.

  • April 3 (Thurs), 9-11 am, "Sit & Sip" provided by 3rd Avenue Marketplace Senior Programs at 1215 E. 3rd Ave., Post Falls. A chance for seniors to enjoy complimentary coffee/tea & pastries while connecting with friends every Thursday.

  • April 4 (Fri), 5:30 pm, "Community Meal" at True North Church, 10583 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. Enjoy a FREE, home-cooked meal - all are welcome every Friday evening. Offered because meals are more than just nourishment - they are a reminder that no one is forgotten, & everyone deserves a place at the table. 

  • April 5 (Sat), 9 am, "Veterans' Appreciation Breakfast" at VFW Hall, 406 N. 4th St., CdA. Doors open at 8:30. ADA entrance is on north side. A $5 donation is requested.

  • April 6 (Sun), 12:30-1:30 pm, "Community Lunch" at Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. Ramsey Rd., CdA. FREE & open to the public every Sunday afternoon.

  • April 16 (Wed), 8-9:30 am, "Veterans Appreciation Breakfast" at Legends Park Assisted Living, 1820 N. Legends Pkwy, CdA. Each month veterans & their families are invited to enjoy a full breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, coffee & juices - FREE of charge! Please RSVP to 208-699-6015. A FREE six-week workshop held on Tuesdays for caregivers covering strategies to reduce stress, enhance quality of life, build confidence in decisions, & resource connections.   • April 2 (Wed), 2-4 pm, "High Demand Careers: Your Guide to Landing the Right Job" for ages 18+ at CdA Library. Presented by Equus Workforce Solutions. Explore industries that are hiring, uncover skills valued by employers & find valuable resources.

  • April 2 (Wed), 3-4 pm, "Wild Baby Animals Awareness Workshop" at Rathdrum Library. Learn what to do and what not to do. Register HERE; space is limited.

  • April 3 (Thurs), 4-6 pm, "Lawyer in the Library" for ages 18+ at CdA Library. For low-income individuals & families in Idaho who need civil legal services. No criminal issues or fee-generating cases. This Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program is a FREE service! Registration is required at least 24 hours before clinic begins. Click HERE.   • April 11 (Fri), 3:15 pm, "Bird Feeders" at Osburn Library. Children can enjoy making bird feeders. More info - 208-752-9711.

  • April 12, 19 & 26 (Sat), 10:30 am-1:3 pm, "Beginning Birding" presented by CdA Audubon Society at CdA Library. This is a 6-hr course, led by Ted Smith over (3) consecutive Saturdays. Learn how to identify bird groups & species w/tools & resources. Space is limited; registration is required. Optional field trip scheduled during class. More info HERE.

  • April 12 (Sat), 11 am-1 pm, "Paul Revere's Ride & the first Day of the American Revolution" for all ages in CdA Library (Community Room).  Learn about the "Shot Heard Around the World", the Battles of Lexington & Concord, & the sacrifices made to gain our independence. This "Libertyseed" program will be presented by Brad Foster, local veteran, in a safe, non-partisan environment. 

  • April 19 (Sat), 11-11:45 am, "Saturday With the Symphony" at CdA Library. Geared to ages 3+, this FREE music education program is presented by Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra, & includes a fun musical performance, interactive activity & a book reading. Held every 3rd Saturday.

  • April 29 (Tues), 1 & 4 pm, "A-Ticket, A-Tasket: Make a May Basket" at CdA Library for ages 6-12. Youngsters will make little baskets filled with flowers, cookies & a special card to leave on the doorknob of a lucky recipient on May 1 (May Day). 

  • July 12 (Sat), 1-3 pm, "Houseplant Swap" at CdA Library. Take your houseplant cuttings to share & find new varieties to take home. Learn about species, & get tips on how to grow healthy plants. Light refreshments will be provided. No cutting to share? That's OK - there will be plenty of extras. Also: Oct 11.

The annual camp program supports grieving children throughout the community. It is FREE of charge to families, thanks to generous donations; applications open April 1. Trained volunteers are needed.   • April 26-27 (Sat-Sun), 3:30 pm, "Strawberry Fields Forever" at New Leaf Nursery, 12655 N. Gov't Way, Hayden. The first 1,000 kids will receive a strawberry plant to pot & take home.
